Top 5 breakfast places in Tbilisi

Breakfast… the most important meal of the day right? Well, I’ve put together my all time favourite places to grab a bite in Tbilisi. If you’re an early riser or like a little lie in, then Tbilisi is the place for you – most places offering all day breakfast. The Georgians are also very chilled people and love a 10am start. Everywhere you go, there’s always going to be hungry breakfasters waiting at the door, ready for the pancakes, avocado toast or eggs Benedict. So carry on reading to find out where to go!

1. Hello breakfast

One of my favourite restaurants! Just a short walk from Rustaveli Metro, this place will make it worth while. Beautifully designed inside and offer a wide range of healthy breakfast options. Such as a super green smoothie bowl, pancakes, croissants and lots of different drink options – fresh juices, coffee, tea and smoothies! I would definitely recommend visiting if you find yourself in town.

2. Blamanje

An exclusive breakfast restaurant, located in Bazari Orbeliani. This spot is very popular and offers yummy all day breakfast options including eggs Benedict, avocado on toast . This is the perfect place for a study session or if your working remotely – a laptop friendly environment. The aesthetic is really a good vibe from the name, to the colour scheme and the interior. I love it here!

3. Sol

Sol is good for the soul! Offering breakfast and brunch options. The design of this place is so cool, with neon signs, pastel colours and beautiful art work – it makes the perfect Instagrammable place. It’s also a place where you can bring your laptop and get a bit of work done. The menu has lots of sweet and savoury options and is a perfect choice for breakfast or brunch with a side of coffee or a cocktail if you’re feeling brave.

4. Kikliko

Kikliko is a very popular Georgian breakfast dish, it consists of French toast plus other sides added like cheese, ham or sulguni. This restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s so cozy you’ll never want to leave. The staff are so friendly and it’s great vibes. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you’re an early riser and it’s very fitting for the name kikliko , which literally means ‘cock-a-doodle-do’ – which is the crow of a Rooster.

5. Puri guliani

A hot spot in Tbilisi, puri Guliani offers delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Located in the heart of Tbilisi, the word ‘puri’ actually means bread in Georgian and if there’s one thing about Georgians they love their bread! They offer the best eggs Benedict served on fluffy brioche bread and a view that overlooks the river.
